Background checks (FADV)
RouteFlex integrates directly with First Advantage (FADV) so you can order background checks, watch their status update live on your board, and approve results without leaving the product.
One-time setup
Before you can order a background check, your FADV account needs to be connected. Open Settings › Integrations and look for the FADV tile. You'll need your FADV username, password, and your account profile codes, which your FADV rep can provide.
Ordering a background check
There are two ways to send an applicant for screening: by hand and via automation.
By handSubmit to FADV. You'll confirm the facility and contact info, and the order is sent. The column flips to Pending while FADV runs the check.

Watching results land
RouteFlex polls FADV in the background. When the report is complete, the status column flips from Pending to one of Eligible, Decisional, or Not eligible depending on the result, and a copy of the report PDF is attached to the applicant card.
Most checks return within minutes. Some (especially those that touch driving records in slower-responding states) can take longer.
Approving a decisional result
When FADV returns Decisional, FADV is saying "we found something; your call." Open the applicant card, review the attached report, and click Approve order (or the equivalent action defined on your template) to either accept the applicant or reject them. The decision is logged back to FADV and to the applicant's activity feed.
Health check and reconciliation
RouteFlex periodically runs a "health check" against FADV to reconcile any background checks that may have drifted (results updated on FADV's side without us hearing about them, for example). You shouldn't need to touch this; it runs on a schedule. If you ever see an applicant whose status doesn't match what you know from FADV directly, contact support and we'll dig into it.
