Getting started

The dashboard tour

A short walkthrough of where the major surfaces live so you know what to click for what.

The RouteFlex dashboard is organized around a left sidebar. Each icon is a module. The current job (or the current piece of the product you're in) takes the rest of the screen.

The sidebar

Top to bottom, the sidebar gives you the main modules of the product. The exact set depends on which services you enabled during onboarding, but the common ones are:

  • RouteSource — your jobs and the hiring boards inside them. This is where 90% of recruiting work happens.

  • Training — courses and modules you assign to drivers.

  • Knowledge base — the Q&A pairs RouteFlex AI uses to answer candidate questions.

  • Notifications — your inbox for events the system wants you to know about.

  • Settings — integrations, team, AI policy, branding, and email setup.

The job board view

Inside any job, you get a Kanban-style board with columns for your stages (Applied, Background check, Drug screen, Hired, and so on) and rows for each applicant. Click an applicant to open their card; drag them between stages to move them; use the toolbar at the top to filter and search.

The tabs at the top of a job switch you between the board, the automations attached to this job, the forms for this job, screening config, and interview availability.

Settings

Click the gear icon at the bottom of the sidebar. From there, the most common screens are:

  • Company for your business name, logo, and contact info.

  • Team to invite recruiters, dispatchers, and admins.

  • Integrations for the FADV background-check connection, SMS, Slack, and email.

  • AI for tone, escalation contact, confidence threshold, and candidate disclosure text.

Switching companies

If you manage more than one entity (some contractors run multiple terminals as separate companies), use the company switcher at the top of the sidebar. Each company has its own board, automations, team, and settings.
